Beth Anne Rankin
Appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson to serve on the Arkansas State Board of Education, Dr. Beth Anne Rankin is dedicated to advancing education in the state of Arkansas. Building on her previous work as Miss Arkansas 1994 where she traveled the state and presented 158 “Excellence in Youth” leadership programs to over 75,000 Arkansas school students, Beth Anne later became an MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, taught over 400 students in her classical school of performing arts, and served as K12 music teacher at Columbia Christian School in Magnolia.
Dr. Rankin completed her doctoral degree in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education where she focused on Transformational Teacher Leadership Engagement in her capstone research.
Dedicated to articulating an awareness for STEAM, Dr. Rankin advocates the positive impact of the arts on students and supports the infusion of arts education into the current focus on science, technology, engineering and math.
